This is Skapa
As typefaces go this is a construction project. You are encouraged to manipulate and play with the forms that make letters. Don’t worry you can make it! All of the pieces are here and you will be guided through the established rules. Nowhere will you find any rules that can’t be broken. And hey if you have learned how to break rules of nature by all means have at it. Skapa was developed in the conceptual cradle inspired by two words: Configuration and documentation. Each block has been hand shaped by the designer so be sure to handle with care. These are simply the physical incarnations of the typeface. There are three weights to this type there is the vector, the wireframe and the physical blocs.
Why Skapa?
As the development progressed further there is a subtle nod to a particular furniture manufacturer and there was a desire to turn that up a knotch by finding a Swedish word that embodies the spirit of the typeface. Skapa; make, play, create, construct, invent & conceptualize. This serendipity felt to perfect to ignore and thus Skapa was born.
